Recent Advances in Digital Philology

Digital Philology (DP), as a subfield of Digital Humanities, has gained prominence in recent years. A number of publication outlets dedicated to the field have been brought into being and interdisciplinary working groups dedicated to DP research have been established in various institutions, the University of Vienna being no exception. This one-day workshop intends to bring together various researchers that employ and develop digital tools and methods for addressing philological research questions, often (but not exclusively) with a focus on historical language stages and diachrony, or digital edition. It will host international guests as well as researchers from the University of Vienna and cooperating institutions.

Keynote: Nathan Hill & James Engels (Trinity College Dublin and SOAS University of London)
